Information You Submit
A third-party provider receives names, phone numbers, or addresses entered in a search form. Our servers do not retain those searches. When you contact us, we receive the details in your message and use them to answer.
Automatic Technical Data
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser, viewed page, and time. Aggregate patterns help us maintain the service and understand page use. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may also rely on cookies or similar tools.
What We Do With This Data
Operating the site, fixing problems, counting traffic, improving pages. We do not sell visitor lists and we do not build profiles of individual users.
Links to Other Websites
We link out to county and state records portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their privacy policies, not ours, govern what you submit there. That is especially true of the sponsored search results, which a third-party company provides.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
Safeguarding Information
Connections are encrypted, and logs are retained only while needed for the purposes stated above. Because the service creates no user accounts, it stores no account password or personal profile.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
Indiana's Consumer Data Protection Act, IC 24-15, gives covered consumers rights that can include access, correction, deletion, a data copy, and certain opt-outs, subject to the law's thresholds and exceptions. Requests concerning our mailbox or logs may be sent through the Contact page. Public records controlled by an Indiana agency, Elkhart County, or a city remain outside our control; correction or removal requests for those records must go to the custodian.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
